That being said, I have tried High Dose Melatonin for myself and have have a great experience.
My results of 60-100mg at night of melatonin? All inflammation gone. Severe osteoarthritis pain in lower back completely resolved and gone. Feel like I am 30 (I am 60+). Also I have no myalgias even after working out or working in my garage or doing anything. It feels like I took two naproxen 220 mg twice a day, but have not (I rarely take that but only when my pain is above a 5 (like 6-8). Melatonin seems extremely anti-aging. I feel very good on it. (Note that it did take me about 30-40 days to get to this dose.)
No contraindications or side effects. In a study cited below participants were give 300mg a night of quick release (not extended or slow release) melatonin for two years without significant side effects (some rare day time drowsiness was noted by a few of the participants).
